“About a year ago I became aware of the AeroGarden, and have been considering getting one for some time.

Well, I have now bitten the bullet and can report that I am more than happy with the unit. I am growing the gourmet herbs, but am considering a second AeroGarden to grow chillies.

It is very easy to set up the AeroGarden which is larger than one might first think, (so check you have room for it!) They have a wall mounted stainless teel shelf available for it which seems an interesting idea.

The good things.

*It is easy to assemble.
*It takes all the guess work out of watering
*It is easy to operate
*You can alter when the AeroGarden lights come on and turn off
*There is a UK internet forum for support

If you buy extra things...

*You can have it on its own shelf
*You can buy something called a master gardener kit allowing you to grow any seeds in the unit, (I am wondering about this and growing seven different types of chilli)

The bad things

*It does make a noise when it is circulating its water, not a loud noise but one you are just aware of
*The bulbs are quite expensive (£18 including postage for two) and have to be replaced every six months.
*It takes up quite a lot of room

Overall though I am delighted with my AeroGarden.

I think it is a wonderful idea, highly recommended.
